The Forecaster for August 21, 2018

Last week John Moorman gave us another pep talk re: Taste for Giving on Oct 19th. He encouraged everyone to help solicit restaurants participants and to donate auction items. We also had a Rotary Peace Fellow who will come back to us again this Fall. Jeanne Theismann wrote this bulletin and your editor is lucky to have such a well qualified writer to do the bulletin in his absence/vacation. Our speaker was our own Brooke Curran who told us of her recent recovery and rehabilitation from her near brush with death caused by her erupted brain aneurysm that required 8 hours of brain surgery back in March. After 3 weeks in hospital after surgery she came home many pounds lighter but has started to gain back most of what she lost. Brooke said she is lucky to be one of the rare survivors of a brain aneurysm – her advice to the club was “Carpe Diem”. We’re all thrilled to have you back with us Brooke!
